In this library lesson, students demonstrate their knowledge of locating author names and using guide words. The entire process begins with the fiction books, and by the end of the year, the students are working with the non-fiction books on the shelves.

ReplyDeleteGood idea! I've done something similar with guidewords and the dictionary. I hadn't thought about using it with nonfiction numbers and shelving. Could be fun with my upper grades.
