Fourth graders are assessed through a week long unit on homophones. Students sort and match words with their meanings, they illustrate examples of how the words sound the same and mean different things, they use the Heartsoft game Billiards and Homonyms to differentiate the words in context, and they play a spelling bingo game to further differentiate between the words.
