Welcome to Salem City School's Elementary Virtual Assessment FOR Learning Fair!

Teachers in the City of Salem School Division have created projects showing their use of assessment for learning to share with their colleagues in the division and throughout the world. This blog showcases projects submitted by elementary (grades K-5) teachers. You can view a brief introduction to the assessment fair as well as the secondary school projects by clicking the links in the light purple bar above.

Here are a few brief instructions:

Use the links to the right to search throughout the projects as desired. For example, if you're interested in Math projects, click on the Math link under Search by Subject Area. If you teach third grade, you might want to click on the Third Grade link under Search by Grade Level. If you're looking for something more specific, check out the tags that teams used when they submitted their projects. You will also find the school names in this list.

The dark blue oval near the top of the page is a search box. Here you can search by any term you wish, including teacher names.

Within each blog post, you will find a brief description of the project, the participants' names, and a link to the project itself. Take time to browse through the projects and be sure to click on links within the projects to see additional videos, slideshows, and more.

After viewing a project, please leave comments and questions in the comment box under each blog post. Participants will be notified when a comment is left.

Many of the video links within the projects work best in Internet Explorer. If you are using Firefox, Safari, or another browser, and external links do not open, right click on the link and save it to your desktop. Then open it from there.

If you have any questions about this blog or the virtual fair, please leave us a comment. Thanks for visiting! We hope you find some ideas that you can use in your own classroom.
